The trip gave us all a greater heart for the Jewish people, who, though currently lost, are largely convinced that they are not. There are many more things which could be said about this trip, but one thing is certain: you cannot visit Israel without leaving there changed. For those who have the opportunity to do so… go! The Lord has done (and is still doing) great things there, and He would love to show you.

The most meaningful part of the trip was getting to talk to Thanh one-on-one about her culture and getting to talk to her about ours.” Throughout the ten-day trip, the group had the great privilege of getting to know our tour guide Thanh. Always quick to answer questions and never hesitate to have a laugh with the students, Thanh is such a sweet individual who helped make this cross-cultural experience so special. Consistently supplying the group with snacks, recommendations, and wonderful company, she will be greatly missed by the entire group

Other cultures value travel or experiences over money. Various times throughout the trip, when conversing with someone from a different culture, the team found out that these people were on a month to couple month leave from work or school to explore the area of New Zealand or Australia. It was so interesting to see what each person saw as an important aspect of their life compared to what we have in our own culture. Each culture is very different in the values that they uphold and it’s very enlightening to learn about them.
