CCFE Fees and Deadlines
CCFE Independent fee
Students choosing to meet their CCFE requirement through HUM 2040, the independent CCFE, incur a $300 administrative fee. This fee is used to cover instructional costs for HUM 2040, a 0-credit course. Students will be charged $300 when they enroll in HUM 2040 after their proposal is approved by the Institute for Global Studies. This fee is non-refundable, including in cases where students fail to complete the required assignments and earn a grade of "No Credit." Students selecting this CCFE option may wish to review the Independent trip philosophy found on the first page of the syllabus to ensure they understand their responsibilities.
Rush fee
Students submitting a proposal after the deadline may be approved to pay for rush processing, if their trips meet most criteria and if they have a justification for having missed the deadline. Students who are permitted to submit a late proposal will pay a $100 rush processing fee. Students are only eligible for rush processing if they submit a proposal 3-6 weeks before their trip departure date.

Christmas Break trips (December 2026-January 2027)
Proposal due October 30, 2026
Submit your proposal for a Christmas Break trip no later than October 30th to be eligible for approval or the revision process.
Students submitting proposals later than October 30th must submit a request for rush processing, including an explanation for the missed deadline, to global@grace.edu —email to request the form. Trips that do not already meet most criteria may be rejected due to insufficient time for revisions to the trip itinerary.
All proposals submitted after October 3oth will incur a $100 rush processing fee.
Proposals submitted after November 20th for Christmas break trips will not be processed.
Spring Break trips (March 2027)
Proposals due January 22nd, 2027
Submit your proposal for a Spring Break trip no later than January 22nd to be eligible for approval or the revision process.
Students submitting proposals later than January 22nd must submit a request for rush processing, including an explanation for the missed deadline, to global@grace.edu —email to request the form. Trips that do not already meet most criteria may be rejected due to insufficient time for revisions to the trip itinerary.
All proposals submitted after January 22nd will incur a $100 rush processing fee.
Proposals submitted after February 12th for Spring break trips will not be processed.
Summer Break trips (May-August 2027)

Students submitting proposals later than March 26th must submit a request for rush processing, including an explanation for the missed deadline, to global@grace.edu —email to request the form. Trips that do not already meet most criteria may be rejected due to insufficient time for revisions to the trip itinerary.
All proposals submitted after March 26th will incur a $100 rush processing fee.
Proposals submitted after April 16th for Summer break trips will not be processed.
